Brooklyn

Sat Nov 24, 2007, 11:43 PM
So today I figured that sometime after the 14th of December, I'm going to go to Brooklyn for a week or so! :D I haven't seen my homies who live there in quite a while, and it would be nice. Plus I have business to attend to there. Hopefully I can go for a week and it would be awesome! I'm so excited! And LiveJournal kind of makes me sad now. I don't know if I want to write in it anymore... :(

Categorize my gallery?!

Wed Nov 21, 2007, 9:02 PM
First off, happy pre Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I'm going to eat so much food that I won't be able to move. My list of favorite Thanksgiving foods go as follows:

1. Stuffing
2. Mashed potatos
3. Cranberry sauce (the one out of the can that still has the ridges on it. Not that "real" BS)
4. Gravy
5. Turkey
6. Broccoli (but we're not having any this year)
7. Ambrosia salad
8. Eggnog
9. Sweet potato / yams
10. Celery (just to prove a point, you're at the bottom of my list, bitch!)

Mmm so that's exciting. Also, there are folders I can make now in my gallery to put my artwork in. Which is pretty awesome if you ask me. Cuz I never liked seeing it all in one huge pile. So that's awesome, and I approve!

Free sketches

Thu Nov 8, 2007, 10:33 PM
I stole this from :iconmorgana-pyrochan:

It will get me drawing more if anyone actually does this, but it will take a while for me to scan this cuz my laptop died, and I've been using Nick's computer. The scanner is downstairs and I would bring my laptop down there to scan stuff, but now I can't do that. So it might take a week or so to scan and upload. Anyway!

:star::star::star:

The first 10 people who comment on this journal will get a sketch, free. However, in return, you must offer 10 free sketches in your own journal. If you've already done 10 Free Sketches, simply link the journal entry in your comment... You still qualify.

I am back!

Fri Nov 2, 2007, 3:19 PM
Yesterday I had a very weird epiphany. I was in the bathroom (the place where all the great ideas come from), and all of a sudden I just got hit with an idea. I figured out how to get myself out of that nasty artist's block I've had for about the past 3 years or so. I get people to give me words, just like some nouns or something. I write them down on pieces of paper and stick them in a hat/tissue box/basket/etc. Then I pull out 4 at a time, and have to incorporate those 4 words in a picture.

I go upstairs and I go to my Google page to check my updates. I happen to see my horoscope. It says "You must have a solid platform from which to express your creative ideas. Take advantage of your impulsive need to stretch your imagination." I thought that was kind of odd, because I haven't been on top of my art for a long time and it seemed like a weird coincidence.

So, I go to get my sketchbook to start drawing. I go to grab it and there is an extra sketchbook there. It's a brand new sketchbook. No tags on it. No stickers. Completely blank. It's the exact same kind as my 2nd sketchbook (the good one). The same kind of cover. The same kind of pages. I asked Nick, and he knows nothing about it. I asked Beth, and she knows nothing about it either.

So, this sketchbook just mysteriously appeared the day I had an art epiphany. I started drawing, and nothing super great came out, but I got the same kind of feeling I used to have a long time ago. Like.. a FEELING toward my art, instead of "whee pretty colors, all done, bye!" Well, whatever it was, it was good and I'm glad it's here. :D
