I'm nearing 6k pageviews, which is cool considering I am pretty not active. I think I'll draw something for the occasion once it comes. :3 Over and out.

Your awful art

Sat Apr 11, 2009, 10:33 PM
I'm tired of these shitty people using shitty quality images in their shitty manips, so everything is stretched out, pixelated and blurry. Or color their lineart of their fat hambeast dragons having sex with horses on one layer so you get those awesome white antialiased edges. And then try to justify it by saying that it's their "style" or that it's supposed to convey some kind of emotion or feeling. Then they say they shit on my "opinion" of giving a suggestion of how to not make that happen. There's a difference between modifying some images a certain way to make them a style, and just not knowing how to make a fucking new layer in Photoshop. Or how to not take a 200x200 px image and stretch it out 6 times its size and then try to say it's supposed to look like that.

No, it's not a matter of my opinion and me liking or not liking it. It's just, you don't know wtf you're doing, and you're making up a bullshit excuse to not seem like such an idiot. That's all. And report me all you want when I'm not swooning over your furry hedgehog sex pictures with "Oohs" and "Aahs" about how "kawaii" and "awesome" and "super great" you are, and actually giving a suggestion or some CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. If you don't fucking want critique, when submitting your next 5min piece of shit, click the little button that disables and/or discourages it!

Drawing Challenge

Sun Mar 22, 2009, 9:32 PM
I am going to stop being such a lazy ass and do this. I need to stop sucking. And the way to do that is by drawing a lot. Which I don't do enough of. So, here it is.

:star: THE RULES :star:

:bulletblue:1. Make 100 pics each pic having a theme listed below.
Each pic should have ONE and only ONE theme to it, for it to count.
:bulletblue:2. No time limit so have fun
:bulletblue:3. The main picture should be drawn but not limited to.
For all fair purposes, people are allowed to use their paint programs and photo shop to create the pic.
:bulletblue:4. pics should be of own artistic ability.
You may not edit photos, or break any other rules set out in the Da etiquette policy.
Your pics can be anything from sketches and doodles to great master pieces.
Just have fun with it.
:bulletblue:5. The list below is to be placed somewhere in your journal for others to see that...
- You are in the challenge.
- What you have completed.
:bulletblue:6. Make sure to update this list and check off what is done and make a link to the pic.
:bulletblue:7. In the comments for your art work note if it is part of the list and what ONE theme it is.

How to draw Sonic the Hedgehog tutorial

Tue Mar 17, 2009, 10:08 PM
Taken from [link] I have learned so much.

1. Draw a fairly medium size head lightly with a pencil for his head
2. Underneath the head, draw an oval for his torso.
3. Now we can begin adding detail!
4. Start with the head, add the spikes at the head, they are like a saw blade
5. Then draw two upside down v`s on the head for the inside ears
6. With the ears, add two bigger v` on top to complete the ears
7. For the eyes, (and part of the muzzle) draw a butterfly shape
8. With the butterfly shape, join it to the head, make sure the butterfly shape is inside the head first!
9. Move onto the body, join up the head and body by adding a rim outside the oval torso
10. For the arms, draw them like bread sticks, refe to a sonic picture for help on this
11. For the hands, make the gloves like doughnuts wrapped around the arms and draw the hands like a human hand.
12. Now, its time for the legs, draw the legs coming out of the body like sticks.
13. Add detail to the sticks to make them look like his legs
14. Do the same doughnuts wrapped round his ankles for the socks
15. Draw some triangles for shoes
16. Add detail to the shoes. e.g buckle
17. Add detail to rest of the drawing
18. Erase extra lines
19. Go over lines in a black pen
20. Add colour!

I also drew Sonic using this tutorial.
